Abhishikta Kaila | Editor

 

An award winning graduate of the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute in Kolkata, Abhishikta Kaila has edited fiction and documentaries that have received recognition at national and international film festivals. She was awarded “Best Editor” at the Sailadhar Baruah Film Awards Ceremony in 2023 for Before Spring, an Assamese Feature. The trailer she edited for Family, a Malayalam Feature, was selected as part of the IFFR in 2022.  Appavin Parisu was an Official Selection at the Critics Choice Shorts & Series Awards.

Abhishikta Kaila worked as the on-set editor with renowned director Abhishek Chaubey for the Netflix Series Killer Soup.  In her work with esteemed National Award winning editor Mr. Sreekar Prasad, she has assisted on various theatrical productions and other media projects.

Abhishikta Kaila produced/directed/and created the Telugu lyrics for an animated music video designed to encourage voter turnout for the 2024 elections in Andhra Pradesh, India.
